You all know me by now I love painting and up cycling furniture so whilst I was just sitting in the front room, the idea came to me to paint the fireplace and shelf unit as it really stuck out and I really wanted the downstairs to flow from room to room and as I’ve painted the dresser, desk, book shelf in the dinning room it would be good to have some painted furniture in the front room as well,
I really wanted to bring some shabby chic style to the room and think this has really worked a treat I used the Rust oleum chalky paint in Antique White, This is the colour of my dresser and I love it.
Here are a few before shots and after
After I painted them I coated them in a wax to protect them.
This is just a little change but has transformed my front room and only cost me a tin of paint so you really cant argue with that.
I hope this inspires you in some way or another.
Love Claire Xx
